Art education fosters a search for meaning and awareness by encouraging exploration, expression, and ingenuity. I am committed to making this search transformative for my students and myself. Through dialogue and interaction with students, I learn how to best support their passions and ideas and challenge them to confront their beliefs and opinions. My art classroom is an environment that is both experimental and engaging; an environment that fosters communication with self, community, and world. By promoting awareness and emphasizing efficacy, I provide students with tools they need to pursue goals as community members and as global citizens.
